Brent's Favorites:

SPORT: Basketball

TEAM: Minnesota Vikings

ATHLETE: Allen Iverson

CPS ATHLETICS MEMORY: My favorite CPS Athletics memory was our inaugural elementary basketball season during the 2018-19 school year, where we witnessed CPS families, community members, staff and students all come together to celebrate our CPS elementary student-athletes during friendly competition amongst our schools – The energy in the gym was awesome and something that we hope to continue for years to come as we create additional equitable opportunities for students.

BRENT LANGHORNE

Assistant Athletics Manager (Elementary)

Brent grew up in Middletown, Ohio and attended Bishop Fenwick High School where he was a 3 year starter on the boys varsity basketball team. He then attended the University of Cincinnati where he obtained his Bachelors & Masters of Science in Sport Adminstration.

After graduation, Brent worked as an inside sales associate for The Minnesota Timberwolves and was in the position for 2 years. While in Minnesota, he was also an adminstrator for a youth basketball league as well as the head coach for a special olympics basketball team, which helped him discover his true passion of impacting the next generation through athletics.

He returned home to Ohio and began working in the CPS district athletics office during the 2017-18 school year with a focus on elementary sport programming for K-6th grade students. Since his time in CPS, the district has seen growth in a variety of elementary sport opportunities as it strives to provide equitable sport opportunities to all students.

Brent is excited to continue to work with Cincinnati Public Schools and positively impact the next generation of student-athletes!
